From 2005 to 2015, I worked as an information specialist/multimedia specialist for the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services’ Research & Planning section.
My primary duties were editing and layout of hard-copy publications, and development of websites and web content for the state’s websites related to Labor Market Information and statistical analysis conducted by the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services’ Research & Planning section.
I oversaw publication of the monthly Wyoming Labor Force Trends, the Wyoming Workforce Annual Report, and numerous other publications and web pages. I also served as Wyoming’s representative on the Analyst Resource Center’s Workforce Information Database consortium, and chair of the ARC Education and Communication Subcommittee for two years.
From 1998 to 2005, I worked as an editor at the Casper Star-Tribune; first as night news editor, then Region & Sunday editor, and as opinion editor from 2003 to 2005. My primary duties included creation and coordination of content for the editorial/opinion pages of the Casper Star-Tribune, Wyoming’s statewide daily newspaper (33,000 circulation). This required researching and writing editorials on diverse topics, heading meetings of the paper’s editorial board, and editing letters, columns and op-ed content.
Before that, I worked as a news editor at several small daily and weekly newspapers in western Colorado, including the Steamboat Pilot/Steamboat Today, Craig Daily Press, Meeker Herald and Delta County Independent.
